Anne Frank

Comité Cisne was a pop band from Spain that existed between the years 1984 and 1991.

In 1987, they released a song called "Ana Frank", in which they paid tribute to this well-known writer, who died at a very young age in the Holocaust.

decía que era su hija;
pobre Ana, se la llevan.

Ana...
Pobre Ana, se va...
Pobre Ana...
Ana...

And here is my translation to English:

Madness kept gradually penetrating her mind,
Turning a girl into a virgin woman;
Making up romantic tales with strange characters,
Who never tell her no, even if she asks for eternal love.

Anne...
Poor Anne, she's leaving...
Poor Anne...

Writing in her diary every day's dying,
Waiting for the grand finale that she still cannot imagine;
And it took her by surprise while playing with her doll.
She was claiming it was her daughter,
Poor Anne, they are taking her.

Anne...
Poor Anne, she's leaving...
Poor Anne...
Anne...
